Tune in to Hannah’s Bookshelf with guest Paul McQuade from 2pm today

Join me on Saturday at 2pm for another episode of Hannah’s Bookshelf on North Manchester FM. This week, my guest will be the fab Paul McQuade.

Paul McQuade is an award-winning writer and translator originally from Glasgow, Scotland. He was awarded the Sceptre Prize for New Writing 2014 and the Austrian Cultural Forum London Writing Prize 2017. His stories have been shortlisted for the White Review Prize and the Bridport Prize and been featured in anthologies including Best British Short Stories 2019Best of British Fantasy 2018Out There: An Anthology of Scottish LGBT Writing and Haunted Voices: An Anthology of Gothic Storytelling from Scotland. In 2018, he was published alongside Kirsty Logan in Hometown Tales: Glasgow. Paul’s first collection of short stories, Between Tongues, was published in the UK by Confingo in August 2021.

I’ll be talking to Paul about his new short story collection, and about his writing in general. And, of course, he’ll be sharing his selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
