Activity: Bargello Embroidery Thursday 10th March at Whitebeck Court with Royal Voluntary Service

The First Time for Everything Activity, organised by Royal Voluntary Service, is Bargello Embroidery and takes place from 2.00pm until 4.00pm on Thursday 10th March at Whitebeck Court, , Moorway Drive, Blackley, Manchester, M9 7HR.

“We welcome back our teacher Alex Butler of Mohocrafts to teach us Bargello Embroidery” writes Karen Kennedy, Activities Coordinator – Manchester for Royal Voluntary Service.

“Bargello is a traditional form of embroidery made famous by chairs in the Bargello Palace in Florence. It looks intricate but is actually super simple. Using only straight stitches and shades of contrasting colours you create multicolour patterns which look 3D. You don’t even need to be an accomplished embroiderer to produce amazing results! We will be making either a funky plant pot cover, eye-catching coasters or a jazzy glasses case” adds Karen.

Refreshments will be provided – booking essential.

To book contact Karen on 077954 50563 or email karen.kennedy@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk
