Join me on Saturday at 2pm on North Manchester FM for a Festival of Libraries Special Edition of Hannah’s Bookshelf. I’m going to be finding out more about what’s coming up in this exciting (and unique) festival, which is taking place next month.

The second Manchester City of Literature Festival of Libraries takes place across Greater Manchester from Wednesday 15th-Sunday 19th June. This year’s programme includes events for all ages, as well as talks, interviews, tours, creative projects and activities at local libraries across GM and Manchester’s heritage libraries. You can see the full programme of events on the Manchester City of Literature website.
On Saturday’s show, I’ll be talking to some of the people involved in the festival. I’ll be hearing from Jenny Martin from Wigan Libraries about Look for a Book, and from North Manchester’s very own Malandra Jacks about Little Libraries. I’ll also be joined by some of the artists and writers who are taking part in various events for the festival, including Abigail Reynolds and Vera Tymchyshym.
Tune in on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
