
Today on Bitz & Batz, there’s an interview with hijab stylist Uzma Chaudhri. Based in Manchester, she began her career as a hijab stylist back in 2012. She’s also a mother of twin girls, an entrepreneur with an e commerce business selling health and wellness supplements, as well as running one to one classes for women wanting to learn hijab styling, to create effortless and stylish hijab styles for day to day wear and occasion wear.
In addition to this for Wednesday 06 March, Shagufta Majid is a Dementia Advisor from Team Sahara and the Alzheimer’s Society – she is going to to talk about symptoms of dementia and her fathers experience living with dementia whilst visiting him in Scotland.
And if you missed yesterday’s show, where we interviewed Akhtar Kasia – vice chairman of Downs and Special Friends based in Batley, West Yorkshire. They are a local community based organisation who provide advice and support for people living with different physical disabilities and conditions including Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD and Blindness and they cover Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, Batley and Cleckheaton areas.
Akhtar Kasia has a son who is living with Down Syndrome called Ayub and he is 19 at the moment. Ayub attended Dewsbury college but he was withdrawn from college because he was getting into trouble and he attends two day centres in Liversage and Huddersfield.
