SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES FOR MAY 2024


10th MAY 10:30 – 12:00/12:30 CHAT – Join Lauren Yvonne Townsend as she shares her personal experience of navigating life with OCD. Through creative writing you’ll explore the significance of looking after your mental wellbeing, how you can use our own experiences to create exciting new art and confront imposter syndrome – smashing down the barriers to achieving your creative dreams. (Pre her debut show
OBSESSED at SICK! Festival).

17th May 10:30 -12:30 CHAT – Vjay Patel Vjay Patel of Brotherly, Otherly, Disorderly, presented as part of SICK! Festival, leads this workshop on creating access riders (a document that communicates your access requirements). Open to all, including d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people. Anyone who needs adjustments in the workplace, including for long covid, period pain, perimenopause/menopause
symptoms and more. Vijay will cover a range of areas including how to identify your access requirements and how to design an access rider that fits you.


31st May 10:30 – 12:30 CHAT -Landfill of Memories workshop by Susana Amato, challenges misconceptions about hoarding and tackles her own struggles armed with a shredder. Susana, a self-described hoarder since the age of 8 has kept a shrine of memories after she experiences a life shattering bereavement. In this workshop you are invited to bring personal items along and get them shredded!

The sessions take place in Harpurhey, with lunch and refreshments provided.
