Tune in to Hannah’s Bookshelf on North Manchester FM this Saturday at 2pm, when my guest will be the brilliant Adam Irving.
Adam is a writer and musician from Manchester. His work has been published in the UK and US, online and in books and magazines. Preferring to avoid mainstream channels, a lot of his work has been circulated by ‘droplifting’ (freely distributed by sneaking the books onto the shelves of book and record stores across the UK, Europe and the USA).
His previously published works include I Was Born Deep in the City in a Bag of Crisps and The Fury of Seagulls, poetry collections Meatball Panda Thrills and Remnants to the Underscored Bolivian Huskery, and Thin Objects, a collection of items found in second-hand books. He is currently seeking a publisher for and then things happen, an extended piece of creative non-fiction which he has been writing for many years.
I’ll be talking to Adam about and then things happen, creative non-fiction and memoir writing. And, of course, he’ll be sharing his selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.
Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
