Coming up on Northern Lights at 3pm: Danny Sutcliffe & Che Burnley talk about Mr. Doom – Behind The 8 Ball

We went down to the premiere of Mr. Doom – Behind The 8 Ball last week, and caught up with the film’s stars Danny Sutcliffe & Che Burnley. Mr Doom is a British comedy that reimagines The Color Of Money in a small-town setting, where pistols are swapped for pool cues.

The debut feature from writer-director Leif Johnson, it tells the story of two men, seasoned hustler Charlie and professional screw up Jack, masters of the pool table but disasters in every other part of their lives, Charlie and Jack are on a dangerous journey of self-destruction. In a world of their own making, they chase easy money, struggling to hold onto a career built around a green felt table, six pockets, and sixteen balls.

It’s available to stream now and we can highly recommend it. We also caught up with Jamie from Mandem Meetup, who are just launching new events in Gorton, comedian Rob Mulholland, host of Dead Men Talking podcast, who will shortly be heading out on his debut tour and we find out if Last Breath is Worth A Watch with Pat.
