Coming up on Bits & Bats at 4pm – Professor James Wolffsohn

James Wolffsohn is a Professor and Dean of Optometry and Audiology at Aston University in Birmingham in the UK. His main research areas are the development and evaluation of ophthalmic instrumentation, myopia management, contact lenses, intraocular lenses, presbyopia and the tear film.

He is a National Teaching Fellow, has published more than 360 full peer-reviewed papers and presented at numerous international conferences. He is the academic Chair of the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA), a Director of the Tear Film and Ocular Surface society (TFOS) and the Chief Scientific Officer of the International Myopia Institute.
