Wednesday 6th August (12pm – 3pm) – to celebrate national Playday, there’ll be loads of FREE and fun activities and events across Manchester – including arts and crafts, den building, and team sports. There’ll be something for children and young people of all ages.
2025’s theme is ‘Spaces for play’ and there’ll be events at spaces across the city including libraries, leisure centres, parks and cultural venues. Play is essential for children and young people’s development and wellbeing – and one of their rights under the UN convention on the rights of the child.
Manchester is on a journey to become a UNICEF-UK recognised Child Friendly City, which is why we’re celebrating bigger and better than before!
