Seven people attended the first Open Day organised by North Manchester 106.6 FM since moving to the Manchester Communication Academy in September last year.

It was an opportunity to find out more about the station, community radio and volunteering opportunities.

The day began with introductions to the station and staff and an overview of the different roles within the station. Existing volunteers were also on hand to talk about what they got from being part of North Manchester FM.

There then followed a tour of the North Manchester FM studios with an opportunity to chat with a current volunteer presenter and to go live on air.

Finally there was an opportunity to ask any questions.
