The St Georges Day Parade takes the streets of Manchester on the 22nd of April

Celebrate our Dragon-slayer St George at the annual St Georges parade hosted by Manchester City Council. The parade will start on Varley Street, Miles Platting, from 12:15pm and will travel down Oldham Street into the city centre.  The parade is expected to reach Piccadilly by 1:15pm; Piccadilly attracts a large crowd so get there early to ensure you find the perfect spot to enjoy the parade. The parade will then go through St Peters Square to return to Oldham road where the parade will come to an end at Varley Street.

Last year was a major success for the parade as it reached record-breaking attendance with over 20,000 people getting involved. There are many attractions at the parade for the family to enjoy; including brass bands, belly dancers and many eye-catching floats. There will also be a scooter ride following the back on the parade filled with hundreds of riders.
