Fabz Khan from Desi Dhamaka changes lives in Pakistan

One of our volunteers is currently out in Pakistan where she has been on a voyage to help people less fortunate than others.  Here is Fabz’s story

After raising funds in the UK and asking various businesses for stationary donations I travelled to Pakistan alone after 21 years to help an orphanage and the poor. I helped an orphanage in Lahore where the children were studying on the floor, writing on the floor, sleeping on the floor and travelling 30 minutes a day just for water. I provided desks, chairs, mattresses and had a water pump installed in the ground so they no longer had to walk in the heat. I bought the children bikes and toys for their errands. Their lives were transformed and they now have luxuries which we tend to take for granted at times. The orphanage has today made me an official ambassador in the UK.
