Baggy Trousers UK, a local testicular cancer charity, are holding their annual charity fundraisers which will see rival banks Barclays and Santander going head to head in a football game on Sunday the 27thMay. The fundraiser will be held at FC United and the event will be in support of National Cancers Survivors Day coming up on the 3rd of June.
The line up has been announced for the match; professional boxer Brian ‘The Lion’ Rose will play for Barclays team captain, Premier Relationships manager, Aaron Gorman. Personal banker Simon Hardman who will play alongside psychologist, author and speaker, Martin Robert Hall, will captain Team Santander.
The Founder and CEO at Baggy Trousers, Jack Broadley, is a testicular cancer survivor and he has commented on the importance of the upcoming match “ I know first-hand the physical and emotional struggles that come being diagnosed with testicular cancer. I felt it was so important to share my story and help others facing a similar situation. Donations from this football match go directly towards helping save the lives of males, by promoting the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer and the importance of regular checks/early detection
