Creative Critics MIF19 is an art intervention celebrating young people’s voices and encouraging them to engage with new art more closely than they may ever have done before.
The project develops skills in arts criticism through a series of pre-festival in-school workshops led by local artist facilitators.
During the Festival, the young critics have visited MIF productions Atmospheric Memory, BELLS FOR PEACE, David Lynch at HOME, Invisible Cities and Tree, before producing and publishing their own reviews via Voice Magazine, North Manchester FM, Wythenshawe FM and MIF’s own MIF Live platform.
Listen in on Thursday to Throw Back Thursdays from 12pm with Lorna C. Lorna will be handing her show over to pupils from the Manchester Communication Academy from 1:30pm and they will be sharing their reviews with us.
This is the first Creative Critics programme at MIF and we are looking forward to sharing this with you all.
