Due to the current Covid-19 measures we are not able to bring you the usual Helping of History.
However instead we bring you Hannah Kate’s other passion, the spoken and written word.
As well as presenting Helping of History Hannah presents Hannah’s Bookshelf on Saturdays at 2pm.
In this week’s Lockdown Special we hear poet Andy N read from his recent reissue of his first poetry collection “Return to Kemptown”.
There will also be another chance to listen to writer Ramsey Campbell read from his horror novel The Good Friend originally broadcast on Saturday’s Hannah’s Bookshelf.
This is followed by poetry from Amanda Steel who reads from her latest work “Always Darkest Before the Dawn”.
In the second hour Wigan writer George Melling reads from his book “Don’t Get Old It Puts Years on You”.
There will then be a chance to listen again to writer Sara Read talk about her novel The Gossips’ Choice published by Wild Pressed Books.
Find out more and order here: http://www.wildpressedbooks.com/the-gossips-choice.html
There’s also another chance to listen to John Biggs from Whitemoss Youth Centre talking about how the Centre has been coping during the lockdown.
We’ll also be playing content throughout the week so stay tuned in to North Manchester FM 106.6.
