Paid Roles: Social Media Manager

MIF are currently recruiting for a Social Media Manager alongside their open call out roles. They are looking for someone to bring a bit of Mancunian personality to local, national and international audiences for this role.

Virtual Factory

The second of MIF’s Virtual Factory projects launches today. It’s a digital project and invites artist to reimagine the architecture and artistic ambition of The Factory.

Neon Hieroglyph has been created by Turner Prize-winning artist Tai Shani who creates experimental artworks. This is her first online project and is made up of 9 films to watch. They explore ergot which a fungus that grows on rye and which LSD derives. It has an interesting link with the North-West where outbreaks of ergot poisoning caused mass hallucinations, with the last reported UK incident during the late 1920s in Manchester.
