“Join me on Saturday at 2pm for more Hannah’s Bookshelf on North Manchester FM. This week, my guest will be the fab Matt Broomfield” writes presenter Hannah Kate.

Matt is an award-winning poet and activist who recently spent three years living and working in Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) in solidarity with the women-led, direct-democratic revolution there. His debut poetry collection brave little sternums: Poems from Rojava, written in and about the revolution, was published in July 2022 by Fly on the Wall. Matt is also a co-founder of Rojava Information Centre, the top independent English-language news source on the ground in the region.
“I’ll be talking to Matt about brave little sternums, his activism and his poetry. And, of course, he’ll be sharing his selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books” adds Hannah.
Catch the show at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online(if you’re further afield).
