Martin spent twenty years teaching high school students and writing novels for younger readers before turning his attention to locked-room thrillers. The Second Stranger, a twisty psychological chiller set in a remote Highland hotel, is his debut novel for adults. Martin lives in Manchester with his wife and daughter.

I’ll be talking to Martin about The Second Stranger, locked-room thrillers, and writing in general. And, of course, he’ll be sharing his selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.
