Coming Up: Hannah’s Bookshelf 2-4pm with Anne Worthington

Join me on Saturday at 2pm for another episode of Hannah’s Bookshelf on North Manchester FM. This week, my guest will be the amazing Anne Worthington.

Anne is a writer and documentary photographer. She moved to Manchester when the city was at the centre of the UK music scene and became part of the mix of artists making large-scale art performances before teaching herself photography. Over her decades-long career, she has produced campaigning photography and documented social change. She is a British Culture Archive photographer, a member of the f/8 documentary group, and has exhibited widely. She wrote her debut novel The Unheard (out now from Cōnfingō) to help make sense of her father. It won the Michael Schmidt Prize.

I’ll be talking to Anne about The Unheard, her career in the arts and her photography. And, of course, she’ll be sharing her selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
