North Manchester FM: Hannah’s Bookshelf, Saturday 25 April, 2-4pm

April 21, 2026

Join me on Saturday at 2pm for another episode of Hannah’s Bookshelf on North Manchester FM. This week, my guest will be the amazing Charnjit Gill.

Charnjit has an MA in Creative Writing and a BA in English Literature & Creative Writing. She has been writing and performing for a decade. Her work has been published in poetry journals including: London Spoken Word Anthology 2015-2016 by Gug Press, Typishly, Minerva Rising Press, From Whispers to Roars, KYSO Flash, Ghost City Press, San Fedele Press, Starfeather Publishing, Poets Choice, the Road to Nowhere, DominAsian magazine, Brownies Verse and The Cosy Desi Club Magazine. She was one of winners of the Art Fund Prize 2023 where her poem ‘Triggered’ was displayed on billboards throughout the UK. She has co authored Transform from an individual to an entity with Christoph Jenkins, head of the Poet Life. Last year her debut play Good Mourning was showcased with a 4 star review. She has published 3 poetry collections with Atmosphere Press – ImpressionFor the Moment and most recently Pray Tell.

I’ll be talking to Charnjit about her collections, her debut play, and about writing in general. And, of course, she’ll be sharing her selections for this week’s Apocalypse Books.

Catch the show on Saturday at 2pm on 106.6FM (if you’re in the North Manchester area) or listen online (if you’re further afield).
